Enema, Retained
Products Recommended
EnemaSupply.com
A retained enema is very
beneficial because it allows more time for solutions, or even plain water, to
be in contact with the walls of the large colon. Instead of mixing up a quart solution, mix
one cup (8 ounces). If you are using
nystatin, mix 1/4 of ocean sea salt and 1/4 teaspoon of nystatin powder into 8
ounces of filtered water. The smaller
amount is easily retained.
-
After inserting the solution in the bowel
roll onto your left side. Lie there for
about five minutes to allow the solution to travel to the left side of your
colon.
-
Now lie again on your back, but prop your
bottom up on pillows, for five minutes allowing the solution to travel up the
left side of your colon.
-
Roll onto your right side and lie there for
about five minutes.
-
You
are now free to get up and walk around.
Retain the solution as long as you are comfortable and evacuate when you
must.
If you get a sudden gas
bubble causing an urge to expel the solution, breathe very fast through your nose,
using your abdominal muscles as bellows.
This usually helps the colon wall break up the gas bubble, allowing the
spasm to pass.
