Ear Treatments

Your ears are lined with mucus membranes where candida overgrowth or other bacteria can occur, just like other areas of your body. Symptoms of candida or bacteria in the ears and/or toxins coming out through the ear include:

  • chronic ear infection.
  • dryness and itchiness, often accompanied by excessive flaking similar to dandruff.
  • ringing (tinnitus) and clicking sounds in the ears.
  • ear pain and ear aches.
  • ear discharges and abnormal fluid in ears.
  • deafness.
  • abnormal wax build-up.
  • redness & swelling of the ears.

Please note that some ear symptoms can be caused by the healing process because the body will get rid of toxins through any orifice of the body. Some people experience more detoxifying effects through their ears than others do, particularly if they have taken antibiotics or used medicinal drops to treat their ears.

Ear Treatments

To achieve some level of comfort you can treat the ears directly using several different methods and solutions.

Also, see the "Other Important Treatments" at the end of this article. Directly treating any one area of the body will not help unless you are also getting the nutrients (diet) and supplements recommended on the candida program, as well as helping your body to detoxify - see How to Successfully Overcome Candida.

Wax Build-up in the Ears

Put 10 to 15 drops of coconut oil in each ear, followed by a dry cotton ball. Leave it in for 4 to 8 hours, at which time you can swab out your ears with a Q-tip, removing the wax. If one treatment doesn't work, keep repeating it until all of the wax build-up is gone.

Garlic Treatment

One of the best direct treatments for the ears, and ear infections, or for flaking, aching and itching is garlic. You can use raw crushed garlic or or garlic oil in your ears.

After crushing the garlic with the flat of a broad knife, cut it on all sides into a small enough cube to fit into the ear comfortably. Put a few drops of coconut oil in the ear, followed by the cut garlic piece and a cotton ball to hold it in. The garlic will fall out after it dries.

Treatments Methods

You can put the treatment solution into your ears using an eyedropper, small syringe or a cotton ball.

When using some solutions, like garlic, you will feel heat going through your ears, which will tingle, but it is not harmful.

  • Eye Dropper or Small Syringe – Using a small syringe or an eye dropper trickle the solution in little by little (about 5 to 10 drops) into each ear while leaning your head sideways, followed by a dry cotton ball. This can be done 3 to 4 times a day.
  • Cotton Ball – Tear a cotton ball into two pieces which are small enough to fit into the ears. Soak the cotton ball pieces thoroughly in the solution. Put a soaked cotton ball into each ear, followed by a dry cotton ball to hold it in. Leave the cotton balls in for about 1 to 2 hours at a time. Do this 3 times a day.

Treatment Solutions

Homemade Garlic Oil #1

  • Crush up and mince enough garlic cloves to fill 1/4 cup.
  • Pour 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil in a jar with a tight fitting lid.
  • Add the 1/4 cup of minced garlic, cover and shake well.
  • Keep the mixutre at room temperature for 14 days, preferably in direct sunlight, and shake it once every day.

Homemade Garlic Oil #2

  • Break up and crush 2 bulbs of fresh garlic and cut it up into small pieces (mince).
  • Place the garlic in the top of a double boiler, and pour enough extra virgin olive oil into the garlic to cover it well.
  • Cover the pot, and warm the oil gently over very low heat for 1 hour.
  • Cool it, and strain the oil through a piece of cheesecloth, and store it in a covered glass jar in the refrigerator.
  • To use the garlic oil in the ears, place a small amount in a metal spoon and heat it gently over a flame until warm.
  • Use an eye dropper to suction up the oil. Put 5 to 10 drops into each ear, and plug your ears with a soft cotton ball.
  • Repeat this every hour, or as needed.

Other Important Ear Treatments

  • Coconut oil is a very effective treatment for the ears, which can also soothe and strengthen mucus membranes in your ears. Swab the inside of your ears liberally using a Q-tip, or put 10 to 12 drops of coconut oil directly in them, followed by a dry cotton ball.
  • After doing the treatments above, wait 20 minutes and then swab your ears with coconut oil. You can also use coconut oil to massage around your ears.
  • Essential fatty acids (especially omega-3), contained in a good Cod Liver Oil (CLO) or fish oil, are very important for reducing reactions to toxins, and for help with inflammation. Take 2,000 to 3,000 mg per day.
  • Also vitamin A and D contained in CLO are very important for the health of mucus membranes. Take 20,000 to 30,000 IU vitamin A and 800 to 1,200 IU vitamin D daily.
  • Take baths with Epsom salts, salt, or 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide. Baths help draw toxins out through the skin and help your body to detoxify and heal. The water should not be so hot that it makes you sweat.
Add two cups (500 grams) of Epsom salts, or one cup of salt to a full tub of hot water, or add 1 cup of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide to a full tub of hot water. Sit and soak about 15-20 minutes.
  • Vitamin C: Take 4,000 mg one time only when the symptoms occur, and take 1,000 mg vitamin C every hour you are awake until the symptoms subside (not more than 7 days), or bowel tolerance is reached, i.e. loose stools. At any time you get loose stools take a little less per hour, i.e. 200-250 mg.
  • To help your body heal and detoxify, consume plenty of chicken soup and mineral-rich bone broths.
