Here's my mini-report thus far!

I've been easing into the diet now for about two months, with full diet and supplements for about the last 3-4 weeks.

One of my main long-term goals (aside from getting rid of candida) was to come off acid reflux medication, which I have been on now for more than six and a half years. My doctor always poo-poohed this notion; he told me (when I was in my mid-20s) that I'd be on them for life.

Not only was this very depressing as I hoped to live a long life, but quite expensive (I didn't have insurance for at least half this time) and stressful, ensuring every time I went in a trip somewhere (which is frequently) that I had my pills with me, because without them I'd be unable to eat and in serious pain and discomfort.

In short, I was held hostage to the pill.

Today, however, is Day 8 off the acid reflux medication, with very minimal issues at the start and going strong! I can't tell you how excited I am not to have to eat my little pink tablet every morning - though it became such an ingrained part of my morning routine (like brushing my teeth) that I've had to remind myself not to take it some mornings!

This is my second go at dropping the meds using the recommendations on Bee's site; the first time around by the third day I was in incredible pain. The main difference this time is that I have been drinking raw ginger tea like it's going out of style all week, as well as feasting upon sauerkraut better than any of my German relatives ;) At least, that is what I attribute it to.

I have also started retracing other weird body issues I've had in the past, so I feel that I'm really underway toward health on this diet, and I'm so pleased! I'm still only at just under 2 tablespoons coconut oil per day, but I can't tell you the difference that it's made so far. I had the most hideous, swollen, sore, red and pustulent acne all over my lower face for months before starting this diet - it's gone.

My skin is incredibly smooth and I get compliments on it from the folks at the health store. Also I used to have very dry skin and had to moisturize at least twice a day; now a very light natural cream is almost unnecessary, even after I shower.

I had issues with very sensitive teeth for years and was using sensitive toothpaste - now I use natural non-fluorinated toothpaste and the sensitivity is also gone - despite the gratuitous feasting upon 'acid' foods like sauerkraut! I can't wait until the various muscle, ligament, digestive and 'foggy head' issues also clear. In short, things are good.
