Success Story by Linda, March 2007Tooth enamel has grown back after years of using sensitive toothpaste! Allergies have reduced, asthma is improved, skin is better. Linda is a member of Bee's Candida Support Group, that you are welcome to join. March 4, 2007 Hi, I am just writing to say that I have had some good results using this approach to food. I am a terrible cheater. Rarely a day goes by that I haven't had a little bit of buckwheat, brown rice, nuts or quinoa. Or worse, like yesterday when I had a piece of cake (made with buckwheat nuts and dates) I had made for the kids. My kids are on a low sugar diet and I incorporate as much of Bee's diet as I can into their food. I think it is a bit of a free-for-all with my husband when he is out of the house. Anyway, the enamel has grown back on my teeth after years of using sensitive toothpaste I am successfully tolerating the virgin coconut oil and baking soda mixture mentioned in a post a couple of days ago. Before the diet I would not be able to eat anything solid if I wasn't using sensitive toothpaste. My skin is the best it has ever been. I have suffered from dry flaky skin all my life – trying all manner of creams and lotions to no avail. I have noticed in the last few days that it is not a snowstorm of skin when I remove my clothes and I am not racing for a shower first thing in the morning to get some relief from tight dry skin. My allergies have reduced significantly and my asthma has improved to a point where I am no longer taking any medication. The reason I found Bee's diet was because I was looking for a natural solution to deal with my anxiety. I was having panic attacks late last year and a doctor diagnosed me with depression. I can honestly say neither of these two things are an issue for me anymore. My husband reluctantly follows this diet when he is in the house and the other day he told me that his tooth sensitivity has also improved. He has a chest infection at the moment and I have been forcing him to drink garlic tea and take vitamin C. This morning he got up and asked for some tea! He said sheepishly he thinks it is working (after days of complaining about it). Receiving my daily digest of the group everyday is very motivating and helps me keep on track (somewhat). I have been forced to face issues I have with food. I realize that I use food as a reward. This diet has laid bare, for me, the emotional aspect of eating. I am getting used to everyone thinking that I am a complete freak about food. When I took the kids to stay with my in-laws recently I could see the look of horror on their faces as I piled the kids' plates with eggs and butter for breakfast. Whilst at the same time they were praising my niece for eating a bowl of sugary cereal! Hopefully next time I post I will be able to say I have stuck to the diet 100%.
