Diarrhea Treatments

Diarrhea is a way for your body to flush out toxins, so it is not a bad thing. Having diarrhea for more than two days can make you weak and cause your body to lose important nutrients, so it is important to replace lost fluids and minerals.

Treatments for diarrhea may help alleviate some of the symptoms, but they will not necessarily cure it. The only way to cure diarrhea is to provide proper nutrients (diet plus supplements) long enough for the body to detoxify and rebuild the area. That is because during natural healing the body "retraces" all previous symptoms, diseases, illnesses, injuries, etc. in order to clean up the area and rebuild it. Also it takes 1 month for every year you've been unhealthy. This is according to Hering's Law of Cure. For example: If you have had diarrhea for 8 years, it will take 8 months of natural healing for it to completely heal/stop.

  1. Diet - To help diarrhea, consume a liquid diet:
    • Bee's Egg Drink, and add a pinch of ground ginger.
    • Consume plenty of soups and broths, particularly Mineral–Rich Bone Broth, which contains many nutrients, including minerals, gelatin and bone marrow.
    • Eat 1/4–1/2 cup sauerkraut or kimchi with every meal.
    • Electrolyte Drink - Be sure to have this drink, 6 ounces 6 times a day (3 with meals to aid digestion). Lemon juice is very helpful for diarrhea and ocean sea salt contains over 84 minerals that are needed to replace electrolytes lost due to diarrhea.
  2. Supplements - All of the Supplements should be taken because they provide important nutrients that contribute to the integrity and strength of the intestines and also supply nutrients lost due to diarrhea. Remember that all nutrients work together too.
  3. Herbal teas also help diarrhea. Tea should be made with 1 teaspoon of herbs per cup of boiling water. Steep it covered, for 5 - 10 minutes for leaves or flowers, and 10 to 20 minutes for roots. Drink 4 to 5 cups per day, unless otherwise indicated. Caution: Do not drink too much tea, nor more than one kind of tea, since many teas are also diuretic which cause the body to get rid of fluids.
    • Blackberry leaf, or blackberry root tea are excellent for treating diarrhea (if you can get the root it is better than the leaf). Use 1 heaping teaspoon per cup.
    • Raw Ginger Tea is excellent as well, and is it especially good for cramps, gas or abdominal pain.

    • Slippery elm bark, taken in tea or extract form, is soothing to the digestive tract.
  4. Cayenne (capsicum) capsules - take 1 capsule two or three times daily, but only take them with food.
