Candida Supplements Chart

© Copyright Bee Wilder

Revised December 15, 2009 to remove probiotics, and antifungals other than unrefined coconut oil.

To get the correct supplements, see iHerb Supplements Recommended by Bee.

You are advised to stop taking all supplements one day each month to allow time for your body to adjust itself as it sees fit.

Please see Supplements - Description & Doses for more details about what kinds of supplements to buy.

Most supplements must indicate on the label that they are "free-of" yeast, soy, wheat, gluten, dairy, sugar, preservatives and additives, such as Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin B Complex, Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Probiotics (lactobacillus).

Important Notes:

  • Take all supplements with meals that contain protein and "good" fats, since all nutrients work together.

  • Do not take more than 500 mg of calcium at any one time, since the body cannot process more than that amount.

Supplement

Description/Type

Amount Per Day

Calcium

Calcium citrate or Calcium Made from Eggshells

300 mg calcium twice a day; when healed take 300-350 mg per day.

Magnesium

Magnesium citrate

300 mg twice a day; when healed take 350-450 mg per day.

Cod Liver Oil

Cod liver oil liquid or capsules for Omega 3 (EPA plus DHA) & vitamins A & D

Dose varies according to the brand see
Cod Liver Oil Products/Brands with Nutrient Levels
Vitamin A: 20,000 - 30,000 IU
Vitamin D: 800 - 1,200 IU
Omega 3 (EPA plus DHA): 2,000 - 3,000 mg
When healed take the same amount.

Vitamin B Complex OR Nutritional Yeast "Flakes" See more about Niacin below.

Balanced 50 mg tablets or capsules, plus Niacin (B3) if the product contains niacinamide (synthetic form), OR Nutritional Yeast "Flakes," i.e. Red Star, Frontier, etc.

Take 50 mg twice a day, plus 50 mg Niacin (B3) if needed, OR take 2 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast Flakes mixed into water or liquid foods per day; when healed take the same amount.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C tablets or capsules and/or ascorbic acid powder or crystals taken in water with meals. Extra vitamin C tablets or capsules can be taken without foods to treat constipation or to help alleviate cold symptoms, etc. Always take at least 1,000 mg of tablets or capsules per day that contain bioflavonoids, etc.

4,000 mg total, taken in divided doses — start with small amounts and slowly increase them to avoid getting loose stools; when healed take 1,000 mg per day.

Vitamin E

Non-synthetic mixture (the letter "D" or "d" in front of the different types)

200 IU twice a day, or 400 IU once a day, however if you are already taking 800 IU per day, do not decrease that amount; if you are taking more vitamin E lower it to 800 IU. When healed take the same amount.

Trace Minerals & Sodium plus Chloride

A "good" ocean sea salt, i.e. Celtic, Nature's Cargo (in Canada), Himalayan, etc.

1 1/2 teaspoons sprinkled over foods and/or Bee's Electrolyte Drink; when healed take 1 teaspoon.

Coconut Oil — The only antifungal on Bee's Candida Program!

virgin or extra virgin, unrefined, undeodorized, unbleached, non-hydrogenated and expeller- or cold- pressed.

5.5 tablespoons per day (therapeutic dose), start with small amounts in divided doses to minimize healing reactions; when healed take 3.5 tablespoons (maintenance dose per day)

Butter Oil & Ghee

Butter Oil isn't necessary, but it can be helpful - see Butter Oil & Ghee.

Butter oil: Adults, 1 teaspoon 3 times a day with meals. Ghee can be consumed in unlimited amounts. Here's a great company who makes excellent Grass-Fed Ghee.

Digestive Aids

Betaine hydrochloric acid and/or unpasteurized sauerkraut

See How to Take Hydrochloric Acid Supplements and/or eat 1/4 to 1/2 cup of unpasteurized sauerkraut with every meal; none may be needed after the person is healed, except when stressed. Also see Stomach Acid Problems

Niacin (B3) – Buy a separate tablet of niacin (B3) if the Vitamin B Complex brand/product contains niacinamide, which is a synthetic non-flushing form. "True" Niacin (B3) causes a flush, including itching and redness, which lasts up to an hour, but it is nothing to be concerned about - see Niacin for more information.

Do not buy non-flushing niacin. Niacin is available in 50 mg, 100 mg and 500 mg tablets, so be careful which one you buy — it should be 50 mg, or cut 100 mg in half. Some people need to start with 25 mg or less and slowly increase it so their flush isn't too severe.
